WHAT GOVERNMENT IS DOING

Home Energy Performance Certificates This is a government strategy to rate the energy efficiency of every home with three or more bedrooms coming on to the market. The certificate forms part of the Home Information Pack which you receive when you are buying or selling a house. Houses are rated from A – G and the certificate indicates efficiency and CO2 emissions from the household along with advice on cutting fuel bills.

OTHER CHARLBURY ORGANISATIONS AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING

The Gifford Trust – The new Community Centre on the old Spendlove Site is being built to low or Zero-carbon specifications. Keep an eye on the Charlbury Website for regular updates on progress.

Charlbury Primary School – Going for Silver Eco-School status.

CAWAG – Various projects to do with waste management and sustainable living in and around Charlbury.
